I picked up my new glasses today. My old pair was over 4 years old. Pretty exciting stuff!

I was really itching to get out of the house the past couple of weeks. President’s Day weekend was kind of a bummer for me. It was one of the few times in my life that I really wanted to go out and didn’t have anyone to hang out with. Don’t get me wrong, I love hanging out with Amy, but it has been a while since I had been out. So I decided to give it a go on Friday night.
I lost my iphone several weeks ago during a snow storm when I was down at Mike’s house. The phone must have fallen out of my pocket. Long story short and $540 later, I got a new phone. Miraculously, Boozy found the phone outside Mike’s house on Friday and it still works! That is incredible. It has been -5 to 55 degrees over the past couple of weeks with snow and rain and the phone is still in great condition! Look for that phone on craigslist soon. Boozy gave me a call late Friday afternoon to let me know that he found the phone. I decided to head down there Friday night to pick up the phone. I drank a couple beers with him and Shawn came over around 9:30 pm. Mike came home from work around midnight. After several games of ping pong we headed over to Juniors around 1:00 am. We stayed out until around 3:45 and I was home around 4:00. It was a pretty good time.
Saturday morning Amy and I had an appointment with our insurance agent to purchase life insurance. With the little guy on the way we figured it would be a good time to purchase it. When you actually start walking through some pretty scary scenarios I guess this becomes a necessary evil. After meeting with Alice (insurance agent) we headed over the Babies R Us to register for the baby shower. This was surprisingly a good time. I didn’t know what to expect. I really had no concept of the amount of items you need for a baby. It makes you wonder how they raised a child back in the day. After about 2 hours or so we finally decided to call it quits because we were both exhausted.
After grabbing some lunch at our house I went over to Rich’s house to help him install a new bathroom vanity, lights and a receptacle. It took a couple hours but we managed to get most of it done. Amy stopped down a couple hours later and we ordered pizza and wings. Later that night I headed over to Shea’s with Mike for Zach and Katie’s engagement gathering. I think I was over tired at this point. I found myself to be in one of those really quiet moods. I hate when I get like that. At around midnight I headed down to the Victory Cafe and soon realized that I was just plain tired. I ended up home around 1:30 am.
Sunday was semi-uneventful. I had to run a couple of errands with Amy during the day. I ended up over at my parents later on that night. I helped my father install his new television. I guess the fun never ends. After some sleep it was back to grind at work on Monday. For those that care, there it is!
I came across a tutorial on how to make skittles vodka here and want to give this a try. Maybe this weekend?

Yesterday when I was letting the dogs in before heading to work I noticed Daisy jumping all over in the backyard so I figured I would put it on tape. Gizmo (our neighbor’s dog) was on the other side of the fence!
This was a little tricky for me. I actually became inspired to start a blog after seeing Katie and Neil’s blogs. However, I really had no clue as to the type of content I wanted to put on here. It took me about a week but I think I finally have it.
The key piece to this puzzle was when I decided on who would my target audience be. I happened to think about that question in the shower this morning and all of the pieces seemed to fall in place after that. My primary audience will be me! I really can’t envision too many folks reading this blog outside some family and friends, and although others are welcome, that might even be a stretch.
Those that know me well realize that my mind jumps all over the place. I am a true specimen of the phrase “Jack of all trade and master of none.” I like to get my hands into everything but lack enough focus to be great at anything. This created a struggle for me regarding the purpose of this blog. I was really trying to focus on one theme to blog about. However, I decided it would be best to write about whatever I happen to come across that interests me. If anything, it will be interesting for me to look back at this almost like a trip down memory lane.
At first thought the topics I will cover will be things that interest me, technology news, politics, our pregnancy, and parenting. Occasionally I might post a video that I am working on or perhaps a photo. I look forward to seeing how this turns out. My goal is to maintain this for at least 6 weeks. After that we will see what happens….
I still have not decided on what I want on this page. Once I decide on what I want to do and get into a routine I am sure this will be no problem. In the mean time, I decided to work on some old video projects that I never got around to. Here is the part 1 of the Coors Light Open from this year.

Well, here I am at Mike’s just blogging away. I wonder who the first person will be to read this besides Mike? At some point I think that I will actually put some content up here. You know what they say, “If you build it they will come!”
Talk to y’all soon!
